Local rockers Kinnexa Cross had an excellent CD release party at Bassline Station - their new EP is now available.

Work continues on Bodhi's new album as well as Gabrielle Giguère's new first full release.

Endyium's new album is in the mixing stage - we look forward to its completion early in the New Year.

Along with a myriad of Indie band mixing, vinyl restorations, voice-overs,  and video editing, we did some more multi-media work for CAPS - creating the presentation for their launch of the new look of their association's magazine - Speaking of Impact.

We'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy holiday and all the best for the New Year!

The early fall months are an unbelievable blur of activity at the studio - a ton of voice-over, video post-production, and the usual assortment of music production - Live-Off-The-Floor, tracking, and mixing.

Work continues on Bodhi's new album as well as Gabrielle Giguère's new (and very hot) first release. Local rockers Kinnexa Cross new EP has just gone to mastering - look for it's release on Nov 10 at their CD Release party held at Baseline Station.

Ottawa rockers Endyium have just finished tracking their new album, we're about to head into the next round of production with editing and mixing.

 August 2007

Toronto's Bodhi was in to continue work on their latest album, as was local rockers Kinnexa Cross to work on their new EP. Also watch for a new demo by Ottawa's Fog Pilots.

Blue Bear Sound's Bruce Valeriani along with Click Track Audio's Wayne Hawthorne are busy judging this year's Kiwanis Idol competition.

The auditions were held Aug 4-6 and there was some tremendous talent. There will be a showcase of the top 20 singers from 11am-4pm on Aug 11th at Festival Plaza (corner Laurier/Elgin), and the semi-finals & finals will be on Sep 1st and 2nd.

Ottawa's A-Channel recently did a spot on the studio - it aired on Aug 2 but you can check out the video!

Blue Bear Sound colleague and founder of the Songwriters of Eastern Ontario - Nancy Beaudette - is hosting a Songwriting workshop featuring Pat Pattison, Kathy Mattea, Jon Vezner, and Stephen Webber on Aug 31-Sep 2. Details and registration info is on the SOEO website and also available as a PDF.

Brandi Lee Morin was in town cutting a quick demo for a Nashville producer and work on Endyium's new album is progressing nicely.

 

 June 2007

Endyium is in the process of tracking their new album,  Tony Landers country EP is now complete, and Brant Pethick's new CD has now been released - more info at BrantPethick.com.

Up 'n coming R&B singer Trecele is currently recording her demo in the studio, and work continues on the recording of Kill Melody's demo.

 May 2007

Brant Pethick's new CD has now been sent for mastering (by the very-talented John Scrip at Massive Mastering!)  The release date is set for June 15th.  Watch for it at CD Warehouse and other local outlets.

Tony Landers country EP is in the final mixing stages and should be out by the end of the month, and local ska band The Finkelstein Sh*t Kids (FSK) were in to cut a couple of songs for their new CD.

Local rockers Lovecircus are also in at the end of the month for a session.

 

 March/April 2007

March and April were just insane - a blur of activity at the studio. Along with a ton of voice projects, a great deal of audio and video production occurred.

Brant Pethick's new CD is in the very final stages of mixing, and young local rockers Hester completed a 5-song EP. Fans of Deep Purple and Jimi Hendrix will enjoy the new Mandrake Root demo, and TunnelVision (now renamed Kill Melody) continued with more tracking for their upcoming CD.

Also keep your eye out for the new album by Bodhi, now in the finishing stages of mixing here at the studio.

Healey Disc hosted a networking event for local Indie artists. Among many, attendees included Jon Chandler (Amos the Transparent), Engineer/Producer Jason Fee, Bruce Valeriani (Blue Bear Sound), and Wayne Hawthorne (Click Track Audio).

Mixing continues on Brant Pethick's new CD, as well as production on Tony Landers 5-song country EP. Ottawa band Tempus Fugitives was in to record their demo.... and TunnelVision were back in to do more tracking for their upcoming album.

Work also started on a full-length CD for Kiwanis Idol winner Gabrielle Giguère and her band, and another video project was started for Health Canada.

Things were busy in the VO department too, with voice projects for Ann Max, Nancy Morris, Autoskill International, and CIPO (the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.)

Happy New Year, everyone!!!!

After an extended period of recording, mixing has started for Ottawa Indie artist Brant Pethick's new CD.  Ottawa band MoneyShot was in to record their demo - a combination of inventive original material and excellent-sounding covers.... and heavy rockers Jerk Factory were also in to record their first demo of original material.  Work also started on a Country project for singer Tony Landers, and rockers System 6 were just in to record their first demo.

We're very pleased to announce the addition of a new video workstation to the studio's gear list -- a very powerful Mac Pro (Quad processor) fully-equipped with the latest Final Cut Pro video production software suite as well as Sony Vegas and DVD Architect.
